Floral Absolute Oils are attracted from various parts of the plants through the process of solvent extraction. Here solvent can either be a chemical, or it can also be from the family of alcohols. Floral absolute oils are generally obtained from the parts of the plant like the leaves, roots, barks, shoots and flowers. The need of solvent is to attract the oil from respective plant material and later through distillation process, solvent is separated from oil. The primary chemical solvents used for extraction purposes are ethyl alcohol and hexane. The process of extraction employed is solvent distillation for the reason that the plant material is quite delicate and extracting the oil from it becomes very difficult through the usual distillation process.
